GOB Digital Services Ltd (RC 9344756), “GOB”, “we” or “us”, runs GOB Business, a free online store, along with payments, bill payments and reward tasks in the GOB app. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect and share your data. By using GOB, you agree to these practices.
1. Information we collect
1.1We collect the following when you open or shop at a GOB Business store, or use payments, bill payments or reward tasks in the GOB app (section 2 has store-specific detail):
- Store and order data
- Store name, products, prices and images, and for orders, the buyer’s name, phone number, delivery address and items bought.
- Personal information
- Name, phone number, email, bank details, BVN, ID and address, which we need for identity verification (KYC).
- Sign-in details
- Login details, one-time passwords (OTPs) and your transaction PIN.
- Device and technical data
- IP address, device type, browser, operating system and device identifiers, including your advertising ID.
- Usage and transaction data
- Store analytics, task activity, wallet transactions and how you use the app.
- Photos and files
- Product photos, KYC documents, task proof and profile pictures you upload.
2. Free store and merchant data
2.1GOB Business is a free online store any verified user can open. Running a store adds the following data about store owners:
- Store settings: name, logo, category, description, images, contact details and social links.
- Products: names, descriptions, prices, images and stock.
- Store analytics and SEO: visit counts (counted once per IP address and deleted after 30 days) and your custom SEO titles and descriptions.
- Orders and earnings: order records, payment method, fees, coupons and payouts.
- Staff accounts: name, phone number, role and an activity log for team members you add.
2.2And about the customers who buy from a store:
- Order information: name, phone number, delivery address and items ordered.
- Cart: kept for a short time; abandoned carts are deleted after 7 days.
- Payment: wallet and points payments collect no card details. Card payments are handled by our card processors (Korapay, Paystack or RexPay) and bank transfers by Fincra. GOB never sees or stores your full card number.
- Shipping (optional): if the store owner connects their own Shipbubble account, your address and package details are shared with Shipbubble for delivery. GOB does not ship goods itself.
- Guest checkout: orders are shared with the store owner only, and aren’t linked to a GOB account unless you’re signed in.
Store owners: order details are shared with you so you can fulfil orders. You are responsible for handling your customers’ data under the NDPA, and you must not use it for marketing without their consent.
GOB is not a reseller. We don’t own, stock or resell products. Every listing belongs to the business that created it; we provide the free store, payments and tools.
3. How we use your information
3.1We use your information to run and improve GOB:
- Run your store: orders, payouts, analytics and SEO tools.
- Create and manage accounts securely, and confirm it’s really you.
- Process withdrawals, transfers and bill payments.
- Provide account numbers (virtual accounts) issued by Fincra under CBN rules.
- Process airtime, data, electricity, cable TV and betting payments.
- Run GOBie, our AI assistant (see section 6).
- Deliver tasks, promotions and giveaways, and show ads in parts of the app.
- Comply with KYC and anti-money-laundering rules.
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud or misuse.
4. Store and platform fees
4.1Opening a GOB Business store is free. GOB earns a fee on each completed sale, depending on how the customer pays:
- GOB Wallet and Points
- 1.5%. Settles the second the order confirms.
- Bank transfer
- ~2.5%. 1% transfer fee + GOB 1.5%. Never more than ₦2,800 a sale.
- Card or instant transfer
- ~4%. Card processor fee + 1% transfer fee + GOB 1.5%. Never more than ₦4,800 a sale.
- Pay on delivery
- 0%. Confirm the cash in the app on delivery.
4.2Other fees, always shown in the app before you confirm:
- Extra store slots beyond your free store: ₦10,000 each, from your GOB wallet.
- The optional Premium plan for more product photos and video: currently ₦5,000 a month.
- Withdrawals: ₦100 to ₦250 per withdrawal, depending on the amount.
- Fees for receiving money into your account number, per Fincra’s fee schedule.
- Service charges on some bill payments.
The full breakdown, with a calculator, is on our Free Store page.
5. Rewards and payment services
5.1Our payment infrastructure partner is Fincra, a CBN-licensed provider that powers the GOB wallet, withdrawals, account numbers and bank transfers.
- Withdrawals
- Paid by bank transfer through Fincra. A fee of ₦100 to ₦250 applies, shown before you confirm.
- Minimum withdrawal
- ₦100 from your wallet, or 1,000,000 points (₦8,000) from task points.
- Account numbers
- Issued by Fincra under CBN rules. They need complete KYC, and the funds are managed by Fincra.
GOB offers financial utility services through Fincra (CBN-licensed). GOB does not provide banking, lending, savings or investment services. Reward amounts vary and aren’t guaranteed.
6. GOBie and AI features
6.1GOBie’s chat for payments, bills and marketplace search runs inside the GOB app. Your chat history is saved on your phone, and you can clear it any time.
6.2When a seller uses GOBie’s AI tools (product listings, store branding, store pages and store review), we send the request, and the store information needed to answer it, to our AI providers, Groq and OpenRouter, so they can generate a reply. For a store review this can include sales, expenses and order details such as customer names and delivery addresses.
6.3AI replies can be wrong. Nothing GOBie writes goes live until you save it, and the store review tool cannot change your store.
7. KYC compliance
7.1To comply with CBN regulations and Fincra’s requirements, GOB verifies users’ identity (KYC):
- It is required for withdrawals, payment services and opening a store.
- It may require a valid ID (NIN, voter’s card, driver’s licence or passport) and your BVN.
- It is shared with Fincra for compliance, and with regulators when the law requires it.
- Until KYC is complete, withdrawals, funding and store creation are limited.
- KYC details such as your BVN and NIN are encrypted in our database.
Your KYC data is handled securely and is never used for marketing.
8. Cookies and tracking
8.1On our website and on stores, we use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, protect forms and prevent fraud.
8.2Store owners can add their own Meta or TikTok pixel to their store. If they do, that service receives information about your visit and purchases on that store. For purchases sent to TikTok, your email and phone number are hashed first.
8.3The GOB app doesn’t use cookies. It uses Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events to understand how the app is used, and Google AdMob to show ads in parts of the app, such as the news feed and tasks. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID to personalise ads; on iPhone, we ask your permission first.
8.4You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone’s settings. Some features may not work without cookies.
9. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data, ever.
9.1We share data only with the service providers that help us run GOB, with store owners when you buy from them, and with authorities when the law requires it. Your KYC data goes only to Fincra and, when required, to regulators.

12.2When you delete your account, we delete it straight away and take your stores offline. Photos and files from your stores are deleted within 30 days. Financial and KYC records are kept for as long as the law requires, then securely deleted.
13. Data security
13.1We protect your data with:
- Encryption
- TLS encryption for everything sent between you and GOB. KYC details such as BVN and NIN are also encrypted in our database.
- PIN, OTP and biometrics
- One-time codes, a 6-digit transaction PIN, and fingerprint or Face ID if you turn it on.
- Access controls
- Only authorised staff who need it can see your data, and their actions are logged.
- Fraud monitoring
- Automated checks and limits flag unusual activity, such as unusual withdrawals.
Keep your password, PIN and OTP to yourself. GOB will never ask for them by call, SMS or email.
14. Children’s privacy
14.1GOB is only for people aged 18 and over. As a financial platform, all users must be adults under CBN rules. If we find that we hold a minor’s data, we delete it and close the account. Parents or guardians can contact us at [email protected].
15. Third-party links
15.1GOB may link to other sites or services, for example to complete a task. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies before sharing your data. This includes Fincra, SportyBet, DSTV and other services you reach through GOB.
16. App permissions
16.1The GOB app asks for these permissions. You can allow or deny each one, but some features may not work without them. We only use them for the purposes below.
- Camera
- Profile photos, KYC documents, task proof, and reading numbers from a photo for Snap and pay.
- Photos
- Choosing images to upload, and saving images you ask to save.
